Just when the sultans fans of South Punjab thought their beloved “Sultans” were gone for good, the most sensational comeback in Pakistan Super league history has been confirmed. In a dramatic press conference Tuesday at Gaddafi Stadium, PSL CEO Salman Naseer officially announced that the Multan Sultans are back for HBL PSL 11 (2026) season.
The brand has been revived through the rebranding of the newly established Sialkot stallionz franchise following a strategic majority takeover by CD Ventures.
From Stallions to Sultans Journey: How it Happened
Earlier this year the original Multan Sultan franchise was sold to Walee Technologies and relocated to Rawalpindi as the “pindiz”. This left a void in south Punjab that seemed permanent until now.
CD Ventures, led by the visionary Syed Gohar Shah, acquired a majority stake in the Sialkot stallionz from OZ Developer in his first act CEO Shah made a formal request to the PCB to restore the Multan Sultan name and legacy.

The emotional heart of the Rebrand lies in regional pride. During the announcement Gohar Shah shared a deeply personal message that has already gone viral among the fans
” A stallion alone cannot win the PSL. To move forward a stallion need a Sultan and we have come as sultans. Maintaining Multan’s identity was not just an investment; it was a mission to safeguard South Punjab right to be represented on Pakistan biggest stage.”
The Sultans has seen a massive Jump in the Franchise Financial Standing.
- Valuation Spike: The franchise’s annual valuation has now risen to PKR 2 billion.
- License Fee: The rebranding was approved after the payment of a one time license fee to the PCB, amending the 10- year franchise agreement to reflect a total of PKR 20 billion.
