History was made at the EXPO Center Lahore on February 11, 2026, as the Pakistan Super League held its first-ever players auction. Moving away from the decade-long draft system, the auction saw intense bidding wars, shattering previous valuation records for local and international stars

The star of the night was fast bowler Naseem Shah, who became the most expensive player in PSL auction history after Team Rawalindi secured his services for staggering PKR8.65 crore.

New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell proved his worth as the most expensive international bid in the auction, going to Rawalpindi for 8.05 crore. He beat out David Warner (7.9 cr) for the overseas spot.

The greatest surprise of the evening was Khawaja Nafy. His bidding started at the base price of 1.1 crore and soared to an impressive 6.5 crore, demonstrating that franchises are willing to spend a significant amount on a young, explosive domestic talent.

Qalanadrs didn’t hesitate to spend nearly 15.5 crore just to bring back their core local duo, Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf.
